How we test dishwashers
We test dishwashers by putting them through loads that are dirtier than anything you will ever encounter at home. Furthermore, we never rinse anything first before adding it. Additionally, we analyze each dishwasher’s ease of use, loading, and programming, as well as the capacity and adaptability of all the racks, trays, and baskets.
We evenly apply, bake, dry, and burn on mac and cheese, hamburgers, oats, egg yolks, milk, and more to cookware (shown) and ten five-piece sets of dishes, glassware, cups, saucers, and flatware before assessing the cleaning efficacy of different cycles. We also use lipstick to “kiss” each coffee cup, which is a stain that many dishwashers find difficult to get rid of entirely.
